Training Standards and Certification Framework

EnviroNaut 2.0 aims to strengthen environmental competencies within the nautical tourism sector by establishing clear training standards and recognised certification pathways. This result will support the integration of environmental best practices into vocational education and professional training programmes across Europe.

Analysis of Existing Training Programmes

The project will analyse 20 national training programmes covering key nautical tourism professions, including:

Using the EnviroNaut curriculum as a benchmark, partners will identify environmental knowledge and skills gaps within existing training systems. The findings will be compiled into sector-specific reports and databases, highlighting opportunities to improve sustainability education and environmental awareness.

The EnviroNaut 2.0 Certification

EnviroNaut 2.0 will establish clear certification criteria and assessment processes for learners completing the EnviroNaut course. These standards will ensure that certified participants demonstrate the environmental knowledge, skills, and competencies required to promote sustainable practices within the nautical tourism sector.

To enhance recognition and visibility, the project will develop an official EnviroNaut certification label, including a dedicated logo and certification design. This label will help identify qualified professionals who meet recognised environmental standards and contribute to sustainable nautical tourism.
