EnviroNaut 2.0 Presented at boot Düsseldorf 2026 - Connecting with the Nautical Sector at boot Düsseldorf

EnviroNaut 2.0 was presented at boot Düsseldorf 2026, one of the world’s leading trade fairs for boating and water sports.

During the event, the project team engaged with visitors, industry professionals and stakeholders interested in strengthening sustainability practices and environmental competencies within the nautical tourism sector. The event provided an excellent platform to introduce the project’s objectives, share its latest developments and gather valuable feedback from sector representatives.

These dedicated spaces brought together organisations, innovators and professionals committed to advancing sustainability, environmental protection and responsible development within the maritime and nautical sectors. The discussions highlighted the growing demand for practical green skills and specialised environmental training across the industry.

The new phase of the project focuses on enhancing and expanding the training programme to better address current sustainability challenges and industry needs. Key developments include:

  • Updating and improving the existing online course content.
  • Developing a comprehensive Train-the-Trainer programme.
  • Supporting the recognition and validation of environmental competencies within the sector.
  • Contributing to the development of training, certification and standardisation frameworks for nautical tourism professionals.

These actions aim to strengthen the capacity of tourism operators, marina staff, nautical businesses and other sector stakeholders to implement sustainable practices and support the transition towards a greener blue economy.
