ABOUT THE PROJECT

EnviroNaut 2.0 is a European project dedicated to strengthening environmental skills, sustainability practices, and vocational education within the nautical tourism sector. Building upon the success of the original EnviroNaut programme, the project aims to increase the adoption and integration of specialised environmental training across nautical tourism professions and training systems.

As environmental challenges, sustainability requirements, and regulatory expectations continue to evolve, the nautical tourism industry requires professionals who understand how to operate responsibly while protecting marine and coastal ecosystems. EnviroNaut 2.0 addresses this need by providing innovative training pathways, supporting trainers and educators, and promoting recognised environmental standards throughout the sector.

Our Target Group

Trainers and Instructors

The project supports educators and trainers responsible for delivering professional qualifications and sector-specific training programmes.

Nautical Tourism Professionals

The project also directly benefits workers and professionals across the nautical tourism industry.

OUR OBJECTIVES

The overall objective of EnviroNaut 2.0 is to strengthen environmental awareness, green skills, and sustainable practices across the nautical tourism sector by expanding the implementation and long-term use of the EnviroNaut training programme. Through innovative vocational education and training (VET), the project supports the transition towards a more environmentally responsible and resilient maritime industry.

The future of nautical tourism depends on skilled professionals who understand the importance of protecting our oceans and coastal environments.

Whether you are a trainer, marina professional, skipper, watersports instructor, boat maintenance specialist, or training organisation, EnviroNaut 2.0 offers opportunities to develop new skills, embrace sustainable practices, and contribute to a greener maritime industry.
